Bioart Society’s programme assistant Lukáš Karaba shares his research as part of a Bioart Society case study residency at Kilpisjärvi Biological Station. Combining fieldwork, macrophotography and video, he reflects on human and non-human perspectives, while considering how place, perception, and borders are shaped through situated encounters.

Agáta Marzecová spent two weeks in the Rewilding Cultures residency in June 2025. She explored ways to rewild her ecological sensibilities through walking, field notes, and attentive observation of plants.

The Rewilding Cultures network partners issued 8 grants to support mobility, projects and experiments which conribute to the rethinking of mobility and cultural exchange in novel ways.

Marzecová will continue her longer exploration of how ecological narratices structure ways of knowing and relating to nature through the lens of queer and feminist ecology.

Bioart Society together with partner organizations is looking for an artists for the Tokyo Art & Science Research Residency, multidisciplinary participants for the Field_Notes – Living Methodologies field laboratory and innovative proposals for the Rewilding Cultures Mobility Conversation. All open calls have 31st March as their deadline.
